The program is designed to securely erase a hard disk until its data is permanently removed and no longer recoverable, which is achieved by overwriting the data with pseudorandom numbers generated by Mersenne twister or ISAAC algorithms. Most of these are open source or freeware, but it includes a few paid options. Your questions should be posted in the appropriate forum where they may help others as well. But it also does not harm to additionally use one run with nwipe or wipe or even ATA Secure Erase, if you have the time and makes you feel safer.
